Environmental impact of production

Many common construction materials, such steel, emit large amounts of greenhouse gases during production. One of the most important environmental challenges is finding new ways of minimising these emissions, a challenge that Swedish Construction Sales takes very seriously. We have invested into fiberglass rebar as an alternative to steel rebar. Fiberglass has been proven to be more environmentally friendly. Compared to steel, the production of fiberglass creates 43% less carbon dioxide emissions and uses 50% less energy consumption. This is one of the many initiatives that can help reduce global emissions.

Sustainable products

Perhaps one of the biggest environmental challenges is creating sustainable products. Materials and products that need maintenance or replacements often end up wasting a lot of energy and resources. Products that last a long time are essential for sustainability. This is why we invest in high-quality products such as the aforementioned fiberglass. It is a corrosion resistant material, which reduces how often it needs to be replaced. All of the products we sell are examined to be comparatively sustainable.

A digital company

Swedish Construction Sales is a fully digital company, which reduces the need for emissions caused by commuting. It also allows us to make better use of the living space we have, as opposed to a centralised workspace which would require its own electronics and appliances to be built and running. Although the impact of any one company is small, it all adds up to become very significant.
